HILLSBOROUGH, NJ, August 21 ADiabetesWebsite
announced today that it has completed
the acquisition of one of the Internet's oldest and most respected diabetes websites, the
DiabetesMonitor
(www.diabetesmonitor.com).
The
DiabetesMonitor
website, which was first published May 3, 1995,
consistently ranks among the top diabetes websites in search engines, and has garnered many words of praise through the
years. It has included many links to other diabetes websites, and a section called "the Diabetes Mentor", a collection
of webpages providing information to people with diabetes and their families.
The mission statement of the
DiabetesMonitor
is to provide information about diabetes
for patients and their families, and offer useful advice about the prevention and
management of diabetic complications, to provide resources for patients, families,
diabetes educators and other health care professionals, and to support people with
diabetes in their pursuit of quality of life.
To address these needs, the
DiabetesMonitor
website will be expanded by incorporating the content of
ADiabetesWebsite.
Features from
ADiabetesWebsite
will be continued,
including daily news updates, product reviews, and information and commentaries.
Additionally, the combined website will have new sections such as "Diabetes Q&As"
to provide answers to questions about diabetes.
Prior activities of the
DiabetesMonitor
website including "Diabetes on the Web", "Diabetes
Resources", and "Diabetes Mentor" will continue.
The combined website will be accessible from several domain names, including
www.diabetesmonitor.com,
www.adiabeteswebsite.com,
and
www.adws.org.
