I always fast for 12 to 14 hours before having blood drawn for cholesterol, trigyceride, and glucose testing. I don't eat or drink except for my blood pressure pills and vitamins (Sectral 200 mg twice per day, Niaspan 1,500 mg once in the evening, Avalide 150 mg once in the morning, Avapro 150 mg once in the evening, CoEnzyme Q 10 120 mg daily, Vitamin E 800 mg daily, Aspirin 81 mg daily, Saw Palmetto 320 mg daily, Pygeum 200 mg daily, Chlorophyll Concentrate 100 mg daily, Quercetin 500 mg daily, Vitamin C 400 mg daily, Calcium 500 mg daily, Magnesium 500 mg daily, Potassium 100 mg daily).
