Question
My doctor wanted me to try Byetta to see if would help me lose weight. However I can't take it because it made me very ill, and my blood sugar got so low I did not know who I was or where I was. If my husband had not been home, I mostly would be dead. When he found me and I was standing in front of the refrigerator with the door open. He tried talking to me about my words were so slurred. I did not make any sense at all. He got me some orange juice and led me back to bed. At 3:00 am, I was better and check my blood sugar. It was 41 mg/dL [2.3 mmol/L] so I checked it again at 5:00 am, and it was 37 mg/dL [2.1 mmol/L]. I surely had a bad day. I'd tried it again a couple of days later in the morning, but I was so sick to my stomach. I lost my breakfast and did not feel well the rest of the day. Has anyone else had this problem?Answer
