Question
If I could come for a checkup and advice at your hospital, what will be the cost and duration of time required?Answer
We are not affiliated with any particular hospital, and cannot arrange an evaluation nor estimate costs at any specific institution. If you are seeking further evaluation, here are some hints:- Contact your local diabetes organization and ask for names of nearby experts.
- If you have relatives in other countries, and would want to consider combining a visit to them with a medical evaluation, have the family member contact a local diabetes organization there.
You can also access lists of diabetes specialists at the AACE website (http://www.aace.com/). Look under "Services" for "Find an endocrinologist".
Also, in the United States, anyone can call the AADE hotline (800-TEAMUP-4) to find local diabetes specialists, especially Diabetes Nurse Educators and dietitians. AADE has a feature on their website to find a diabetes educator at http://www.aadenet.org/FindAnEduc/index.html.
Finally, see Finding a New Doctor for some other hints.
