Question
I am 41 years old, have type 1 diabetes, and I work out 3-4 times each week (cardio and lifting weights). I have always worked out and feel that I am in decent shape. I weigh 165 pounds and would like to lose about 15 pounds. How much protein should I be eating each day? I know that too much protein is not good for your kidneys. I plan to stay complication-free, if I have a say, and do not want to over-stress my body. I don't have any signs of kidney disease now and would like to keep it that way.
