I am a student pursuing my bachelor's degree in sociology, and I was hoping you could suggest the most beneficial degree to take to become a diabetes educator. The education requirements include: social work, clinical psychology, and RN. Is one degree more highly accredited than another? Would getting my RN through an accelerated program be the best thing for me?Answer
I would support the accelerated RN degree as the best option. For social work and clinical psychology, you will be required to hold a Masters Degree, at the very least, in order to sit for the Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) exam.
