Diabetes Teen Talk

"The original Teen Talk was started in November 2002 by Diabetes Portal, Inc. Teen Talk had its own website with articles, interviews, a pen pal board and a message board, and held its chats at another Diabetes Portal website called Diabetes Station. Many chats were held at this website, and guests included Miss America 1999 Nicole Johnson, diabetes researcher Dr. James Shapiro, and musician Hamish Richardson of the band Brother. Sadly, in September 2005, Diabetes Portal, Inc. closed its doors. The founders were not able to find another organization to buy and maintain all the websites in the Diabetes Portal collective. Thus, Teen Talk was closed and re-opened off-site by its original host, Allison, under the name of Diabetes Teen Talk."
