    • August 26, 2007    New research reveals patients who have had a heart attack are 4.5-times more likely to develop diabetes compared to the general population. Heart attack patients are also 15-times more likely to develop a pre-diabetes condition known as impaired fasting glucose.     • August 18, 2007    Pregnancies in Jerusalem in the 1960s and 1970s may hold vital clues about how pancreatic cancer and diabetes are linked. According to recent research, women with a history of gestational diabetes had a higher risk of developing pancreatic cancer later in life.     • August 15, 2007    The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced that the manufacturers of certain drugs approved to treat type 2 diabetes (Avandia and Actos and combination pills containing these drugs) have agreed to add a stronger warning on the risk of heart failure, a condition that occurs when the heart does not adequately pump blood. The information will be included in the form of a "boxed" warning-FDA's strongest form of a warning. The upgraded warning emphasizes that the drugs may cause or worsen heart failure in certain patients. "Within the frames of the project children will undergo psycho-social adaptation and trainings. Children will adapt to physical activity and will control their regime as well.
