Question

I have type 2 diabetes, and I would like to know how much fruit I can eat per day. I really crave sweets all day.

Answer

Every person has different nutritional and overall calorie requirements. For a person with diabetes, carbohydrates needs are part of this evaluation, and all fruits are carbohydrates. Please make an appointment to see a Registered Dietitian/Certified Diabetes Educator (R.D./C.D.E.) to individualize a meal plan specific to you.
