Question
I have not been diagnosed with diabetes, but I have excessive thirst, excessive urination, frothy urine, sweet smelling urine, and
my mother and grandmother had diabetes. Instead of "weight loss" that I keep reading about, I have gained about 10-12 pounds that I can not get rid of. It seems like I just keep gaining, even though I have tried to cut back on eating, and I have started walking every day for thirty minutes. I have never had a problem with weight, and I have never exercised much. I have never worked so hard to lose weight, and yet I can't lose it. I am on Synthroid for
hypothyroidism
which is well controlled. I have had three urinary tract infections in the past five or six months. Can weight gain go along with
pre-diabetes?
