Question

I just been prescribed pioglitazone. Can I take this with insulin injections?

Answer

The use of Actos (pioglitazone) with insulin is of some concern, as a study showed an increase in a cardiac side effect (congestive heart failure) in patients taking both medications at the same time. Be sure to talk this over with your physician.
