Question
I am 70 years old and have
type 2 diabetes.
For the last year, I have had very bad diarrhea about once a week.
I will get slightly constipated for a couple of days, and then the following day
have diarrhea so violently unless I am close to
a bathroom a very embarrassing result can happen. Do you know why?
Answer
This may or may not be related to your diabetes. Some forms of
neuropathy
can present this way, but there are many things that could cause the diarrhea.
You should have a thorough evaluation by your physician.
