HHNS Initial Laboratory Values
- Appropriate laboratory tests (CBC, chest x-ray, cultures) may identify precipitating cause
- Blood glucose level usually > 800 mg/dl
- Blood/urine ketones negative or small
- Osmolality usually elevated
