Diabetes Monitor launched a new commenting system in April 2012. Below, you will find our guidelines regarding the use of this system.
Commenting Guidelines
Authority. We moderate our comments on a weekly basis and, in most cases, a daily basis. Both Internet users posting comments to the site and the moderates should not be considered as health professionals.
Disclaimer. Comments posted to Diabetes Monitor are only intended to support--not replace--the relationship between the site visitor and his/her existing physician. The information published on Diabetes Monitor does not constitute medical or other professional advice and is not intended to a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment.
Privacy. Please remember, any comment or message posted on Diabetes Monitor can be read, reproduced and cited by all. You are unable to delete messages or comments you post to the commenting system. Site moderators reserve the right to delete any comments deemed inappropriate without notifying the author. In cases of abuse, the moderators reserve the right to ban a user from commenting on the site.
Behavior. All site visitors and moderators should conduct themselves with respect and honesty when using the commenting system. By using the commenting system on Diabetes Monitor, you agree to post true and correct information--best to your knowledge--information that is of your own personal experience. If you choose not to post information regarding your personal experience, we kindly ask that you provide sources, such as links, references whenever possible.
Advertising Links. You are NOT allowed to post and commercial content or advertisements in the commenting system on Diabetes Monitor, whether in the form of banner ads, links, etc.
